This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else's servers. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us by email.

Who is responsible

This policy covers this website and mail sent to the addresses on it. It does not cover the Coolhand apps, which are covered separately. To delete a Coolhand account, see Delete your account.

When you visit this site

We set no cookies and use no local storage, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, social media plugins or embedded content from other sites. The fonts and images are served from this site itself. We have not switched on request logging for this site.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which acts as our processor. To deliver a page to you and to protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare necessarily processes connection data: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and what your browser sends with the request. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

When you write to us

If you write to beta-inquiries@coolhand.app or contact@coolhand.app, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in your message. We use it only to reply to you and, for beta inquiries, to consider you for the closed beta and invite you if a place opens.

Our legal basis is that you asked us to act on your message (GDPR article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering mail sent to us (article 6(1)(f)). Our mail is hosted by Google LLC (Google Workspace), which acts as our processor.

We delete beta inquiries no later than six months after the closed beta ends, unless you join the beta. Other mail is kept for as long as we need it to deal with what you asked, and longer only where the law requires it.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or combine it with data from other sources. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not let anyone else do so on this one. Because there is no tracking here, a browser's "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal changes nothing on this site.

Where your data is processed

We and our processors are based in the United States, so your data is processed there.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or hand it to you in a portable form. You can object to any use we base on our legitimate interests. Write to contact@coolhand.app; we answer within one month.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. Californians can use the same address to review or correct anything we hold about them.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and Coolhand Poker is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If a child has written to us, we delete the message when we find out.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new version is published here with its effective date. If a change affects mail you have already sent us, we will tell you before it applies.
